Under The Skin

I'm so bewildered I think I could disappear
I suppose I could sink and you wouldn't care
The floor just opened up wide
I'm swaying here, dancing alone
Falling in love and carrying my kin
Finding the music flowing through a saxophone
You're my muse, ultimate time spender
Always on my mind and you're losing this war
Oh the wages are set and we've not even processed
Under the skin, that's where it all began
Holding a moonbeam in the palm of your hand
I think we're toxic (scrub enough you'll never come clean)
You're so blundered I think I seem at utmost useless
I feel as though I'm chained and I'm dragging my feet
Naked and bare just lay here the concrete will sooth you
I'll get someone to save us, just don't have the courage
You're my keepsake, my mentor, and partner
The floor just opened up wide
I'm swaying here dancing alone
Finding the music flowing through a saxophone
Under the skin, that's where it all began
Holding a moonbeam in the palm of your hand
I think we're toxic (scrub enough you'll never come clean)
Always on my mind and you're losing this war
Someday they'll thank us, uphold and appraise us
The wages will falter, halt, I say; who goes there?
I'll get someone to save us, just don't have the courage
Under the skin, that's where it all began
Holding a moonbeam in the palm of your hand
I think we're toxic (scrub enough you'll never come clean)
